Jenn Downs is a UX Designer and adores the web and what it can do for the world. She got her start in tech as MailChimp's first support rep, earning a coveted one digit employee number of "4". She worked to grow professionally as MailChimp grew exponentially and eventually found her web calling in UX. She's currently working at Deluxe as a Senior UX Designer.
Jenn is a mentor for Code for America and invented the slightly awkward, yet truly helpful, Laptop Hugging Method for remote mobile testing.
Outside of being a web nerd, Jenn dotes on her dogs Dickie and Waylon, is a songwriter, and plays bass and sings in Atlanta bands The Sunset District and The Downs. She has also started taking drum lessons and thinks that drums just might be her musical calling.
I love to write.

I'll be speaking at the Action Design Network Meetup in Atlanta on November 3, 2016. It will be the last time I give my Empathy Cannot Be Automated talk for a while (maybe ever), so come see it while you can!
